Partner at Machado Meyer Advogados. She possesses vast experience in merger cases, antitrust investigations and antitrust risk assessment, as well as in trade defense matters. She received her Bachelor of Laws degree from Universidade Federal da Bahia and her LL.M. degree in International Business Law from the University of Leiden, in the Netherlands. Maria Eugênia did an internship at the Brazilian Mission to the World Trade Organization in Geneva in 2004. She has been a member of the Deliberative Committee of Brazilian Institute for Competition, Consumer Relations and International Trade Studies (IBRAC) since 2012
