Heloisa Pereira is a trade policy leader with over fifteen years of experience in the Brazilian government, where she currently serves as the Undersecretary for Trade Policy at the Foreign Trade Chamber, under the Ministry of Development, Industry, Trade and Services. She is responsible for coordinating and implementing the country’s trade policy agenda, including tariff and non-tariff issues, regional trade agreements, and dispute settlement.
Heloisa holds a PhD in International Economic Law at the National University of Singapore, where she researched the nexus between trade and sustainability, especially trade related climate change measures. She holds a Master in International Law and Economics from the World Trade Institute of the University of Bern, Switzerland, and a Postgraduation in International Relations from the University of Brasília. She is passionate about advancing sustainable trade and promoting women’s empowerment in the global economy.
