Denis Alves Guimarães

I founded AGPR – Law, Policy & Advocacy – in 2013 to provide interdisciplinary and customized services. I also have been a Visiting Scholar at the University of California, Davis, School of Law, and a Michigan International and Comparative Law Research Scholar at the University of Michigan, working on practice-oriented research linked to the Law School, the Ford School of Public Policy, and the Ross School of Business, as well as to other organizations and independently (I have a PhD in Economic and Public Finance Law from the University of Sao Paulo – USP: #52 QS World University Rankings by Subject 2021 – Social Sciences & Management). Before founding AGPR in 2013, I have earned private and public sector experience as senior associate and associate at full-service, mid-size, and boutique acknowledged Brazilian law firms (TozziniFreire, Vieira Rezende, and L. Farina Advogados), and as attorney and law clerk, respectively, at the Secretariat of Economic Law (SDE) of the Ministry of Justice of Brazil (merged into the antitrust agency CADE in 2012), and at the Office of Federal Prosecution in Sao Paulo (Consumer and Economic Affairs).
