Silvia Pinheiro

Dr. Silvia Pinheiro is a professor and a lawyer with masters in international relations and a PhD in International Trade Law. With experience in international trade, due to 20 years as a practitioner and professor at the Getulio Vargas Foundation, she wrote two books on WTO rules and dispute settlement mechanisms. She works at the BRICS Policy Center – Pontifical Catholic University, in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil, teaching and coordinating projects on Inclusive Business in the Amazon and Eradication of Modern Slavery in Global Supply Chains, in partnership with academic institutions from different regions of Brazil and abroad. Dr. Pinheiro provides legal assistance and capacity building to different organisations in urban and rural areas.
